Police escorted ride from Brunswick, Georgia to St.Augustine, Florida, in honor and tribute of all law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice, the giving of their lives in the performance of their duties. 50’s Theme Cookout on 9/2. Black Bike Week - Myrtle Beach 5/26/2005 - 5/30/2005
This is an even larger gathering than Myrtle Beach Bike Week, with up to 350,000 riders and onlookers. It began in 1980, as the Atlantic Beach Biker Festival. In 2003, there were complaints filed of discrimination, that the city does not welcome Black Bike Week participants and that some businesses actually close up shop. Information from some event sites says that all bikers, black or white, harley or sportsbike, are welcome as long as they keep it clean and have respect.
